François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
Here is a shape that characterizes the classicism and the British elegance, while still being very in vogue. The sanded finish reveals a pretty ring grain of mahogany tint. The stem is mounted with a short silver ring and the hand-cut stem is made in a ord of ebonite stained in the mass (cumberland). The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece, carved concave, is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying by my supplier and an additional year on my reserve.
