François Dal – HM16 |
When a friend ordered me an Apple with a specifically rustic finish, I was a bit frustrated (because rustic finishes do not often show the beauty of the wood) but also mostly delighted because I understood that he had a low for my ‘Lunar’ rustication. The specification was clear: a very wide wood and with this finish, it needed an even wider plateau! I was glad to learn that this pipe is one of his favorite smokers. The tigered acrylic stem slices with the dark and charcoal side of the stummel. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying.
