François Dal – HM16 |
This large Freehand is the first pipe entirely made by hand that I dared to show, it is therefore charged with emotions, especially since it is the result of an order for a friend who kindly trusted me. He wanted a pipe with wide walls and a rustic finish, in order to take it everywhere during his walks and on the building sites. It is therefore a ‘Black Lunar’, with a strong constrast between the top rims and the outer part, and mounted with a cumberland stem (sand color). The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying.
