François Dal – Handmade 2022 – (on stem) δ |
Out of stock
I am pleased to introduce this Duke shape (a variant of the Poker but with a slanted stem and no shank) in a virgin sandblasted finish (no stain or wax) with the rims revealing the broussin, the crust of the plateau. It is mounted here with a stem cut from a rod of black and apricot cumberland. Light weight and not lacking in style, this is just the kind of pipe I would have gladly kept for my own use. The metal flock is at one with the briar and the stem simply fits over it. The button of the bit is wide open in a V-shape for optimal draw. The briar, of Sardinian origin, has benefited from one year of drying at the supplier and four more years in my storeroom.
