| François Dal – Tradition 2017 – (on stem) δ | |
In my reserve of drafts which are used for the Tradition series, this model had attracted me particularly and I therefore wanted to make a stem that is out of the ordinary. It is therefore a slightly bent billiard in sandblasted finish, sandblasting whose result is very pleasing to my eyes. The stem, cut in a rod of colored ebonite, can surprise by its orange and blue waves but in the end, contrary to the garish colors usually found on acrylic stems, I find that this marriage is successful, there is here a meeting between classicism and a touch of originality that, in my eyes, works well. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar has more than 20 years of drying in the drying roomss and granaries of Chacom in Saint-Claude.
Produced this year, it is therefore stamped ‘Tradition 2017′.
