François Dal – C16 – Lunar logo |
Both classic and a bit audacious, this Canadian does not lack charm with its rough finish. It perhaps characterizes this desire to sprinkle some grains of originality on the classic models, to restore more contemporary colors to the sobriety of the old days. The transition between the briar and the hand-cut green cumberland stem is ensured by a ring of acrylic ‘horn’ surrounded by two brass slices. The flock is teflon (nylon) and the shank drilled at 4mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (cut concave) is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar has more than 25 years of drying in the drying roomss and granaries of Chacom in Saint-Claude.
Produced at the end of 2016, it is therefore stamped ‘C 16’ (‘C’ for the Custom series, now renamed Tradition).
