François Dal – Tradition 2018 – (on stem) δ |
Here is a good-sized brandy, with a smooth waxed finish and a slightly curved shank. The wood reveals a side with lovely birdseyes and a mixed grain on the other side. The shank is adorned with a horn extension and the stem is handcut in an acrylic bar. The chamber of diameter 1.93cm and 4.2 depth may class the pipe in a good group 4. The flock is in teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The concave lens of the pipe is open V-shaped for optimum draw. The briar comes from the granaries of St-Claude and has benefited from 15 to 20 years of drying in optimal conditions.
Produced in 2018, it is therefore stamped ‘Tradition 2018′.
