François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
A montage that I had not yet tried with this Reverse Calabash. The shank is voluntarily disproportionate to receive a chamber 25mm in length by 18.5mm in diameter, allowing the smoke to cool before accessing the stem. The briar, nicely flamed, shows some micro-sandpit and another sandpit on the rims. In a wish of deliberate contrast, I chose to add a prussian blue cumberland stem. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, benefited from two years of drying at the supplier and an additional year on my reserve.
