François Dal – Handmade 2020 – (on stem) δ |

Here is a Billiard of good size (its chamber of 21.5 by 44.6mm classifies it in Group 5). My choice of finish fell on a lightened black stain to reveal the briar by transparency and cause the contrast of the flames. The briar reveals pretty flames and some birdseyes on the rims in particular. The shank is decorated with a zebrano wood extension. The stem is made in a blue / black ebonite bar. The whole is sober and harmonious at the same time. The floc is teflon and the rod drilled to 4.2mm. The slot of the stem (concave cut) is open in V for optimal draw. This Italian briar benefited from one and a half years of drying from the supplier and another two years in my reserve.
