François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
Always in my perspective to vary the shapes, here is an exploration of the apple form here slightly eggish, which is distinguished by a diagonal cut, giving an offset effect in two parts of the head, emphasized by beautiful curves. At the grain level, the shape is articulated on the basis of the departures of branch situated on the flanks, with contrasted flames on the shank and birdseyes well present under the base. The shank is adorned with a boxwood ring that makes the transition with the ebonite stem (of german quality). In the end, the shape is voluptuous, rich in wood and very pleasant in hand. The briar, of Spanish origin, is more than 30 years old and therefore perfectly dry.
