If there is an emblematic and legendary shape of the Dunhill brand, it is indeed the famous LC. So this is a model with respectable size, in deep sandblasted finish. The impressive ring grain result is obtained here by a slow technique of micro-sandblasting allowing to highlight the natural rings of the briar. The stain is dark burgundy and the stem is handcut in a rod of cumberland from the renowned German company “New York Hamburger Gummi-Waaren” active since 1871 in the production of high quality ebonite. The 20.8mm by 59.7mm chamber put it in the Group 5 or 6. The flock is made of Teflon and the shank is drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave cut) is well opened in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Italian origin, has benefited from one year and half of drying at the supplier’s and seven more years in my store.
