François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ

The most classic of the traditional forms is undoubtedly the ‘Billiard’ shape.  The present model is not exempt from this classicism but is distinguished by its noticeable chamfered rims. The finish is lightly sandblasted and has a very dark mahogany stain (almost black), except for the smoothed rims, allowing easier maintenance after each smoking. The stem is handcut in a bar of colored ebonite (or cumberland) of purple color and from German quality (NYH). The chamber of 1.8x4cm can classify this pipe in small groups 4.  The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece, cut concave, is well opened in V for an optimal draw.  The briar, of Italian origin, has benefited from at least a year and a half of drying at the producer (but in my opinion much more) and an additional 18 months in my reserve.
