François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ |
The present model is a mix variant of Horn & Calabash, with small dimensions (which makes it very light and comfortable in the mouth), yet having a broad top plate. The stem made of colored ebonite has pretty corolla patterns and its saddle shape conforms to the general shape I wanted: the stem is part of the shape, it is in integrated continuity of the shank. The floc is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of sardinian origin according to the supplier, has benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier and 4 more months in my reserve.
