François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
This Dublin here in a mixed finish, sandblasted on the largest part and smooth on the top plate which is carved in convex to isolate some birdseyes. The sandblasting, black stained, reveals some ring grain. The stem is cut in a cumberland of an astonishing marbled color where dominates the grey and some yellow/cream flames. A gilded brass ferrule takes care of the transition. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Corsican origin, benefited from two years of drying.
