François Dal – Tradition 2024 – (on stem) δ |
This is a Billiard in sandblasted finish and stained black. The sandblast reveals a chaotic structure, as variegated and twisted as you could wish. The ebonite stem in sand color is here flaming, handcut from a rod from the renowned German company “New York Hamburger Gummi-Waaren” active since 1871 in the production of high quality ebonite. The generous chamber classifies it as Group 5 (21.2mm diameter by 50.6mm deep). The flock is in teflon (nylon that manages well the temperature’s variations) and can be fitted with 6mm filters, the shank is drilled to 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave cut) is open in a V-shape for optimum draw. The briar, from the Chrétin workshops in Saint-Claude (which closed in the 80s and 90s), has been drying for over 30 years!
Produced in the year 2024, it is therefore marked ‘Tradition 2024’.
