| François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ | |
I confess that I had some fears when a friend ordered me a Cutty Panel because I had not yet attacked the symmetrical panels but in the end I’m glad I took up the challenge. This long and wide Cutty with 6 sides shows very nice flames through the gray stain and the shape certainly doesn’t go unnoticed, with a british accent. The stem is cut in a colored ebonite (or cumberland) rod of Prussian blue color. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Corsican origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying by my supplier and 15 additional months on my reserve.
