François Dal – Handmade 2020 – (on stem) δ |
Out of stock
Here is a medium-sized Lovat with a chamber of 20 by 44mm. The head can approach Brandy shape standards. The smooth finish reveals a pretty briar with irregular flames and stained with medium brown to raise the thread. I particularly like the rounded rims aound the chamber. The shank is decorated with a palm wood extension surrounded by cumberland rings. The stem is ebonite and saddle shape with a well marked sleeve. The whole is sober and harmonious at the same time. The floc is teflon and the rod drilled to 4.2mm. The slot of the stem (concave cut) is open in V for optimal draw. This Italian briar benefited from one and a half years of drying from the supplier and another two years in my reserve.
