François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
Here is a very flared Dublin model, in mixed finish : sandblasted on the majority of the stummel and smoothed on the rims and on the briar extension. The sandblasting, rather tight, shows concentric rings, and the upper plateau some birdseyes. The cumberland stem comes from a bar of the SEM producer in Germany. The floc is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of tuscan origin according to the supplier, has benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier and 4 more months in my reserve.
