François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ |
Carved in a wide plateau of Tuscan briar, this high flower is the type of pipe that you smoke at home, when you have one or two hours of freedom to enjoy its generous chamber (2.18cm by 5.4cm depth). The shape is made of angles and curves, the briar presents some nice flames, with the apparent bush on the upper part. The rims are chamfered to allow easier cleaning. The stem espouses in a particular way the end in bush of the shank, with pretty green corollas that let appear the drawing of the ebonite. A high-end model inspired with nuances of the work of the master Pierre Morel. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece, concave, is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying by the supplier plus six months more on my own reserve.
