François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ |
The completely smooth bowl of this bamboo has a pretty flamed grain, in a contrasting stain and polished with carnauba wax. I left the the knots of the bamboo bare but it can be polished at demand. The cumberland stem is recalled by a cumberland ring between briar and bamboo, it is handcut from a German cumberland rod (NYH). The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece, carved concave, is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Tuscan origin, is extra dry and benefited three years of drying at the supplier and in my drying room.
