Made on order, here is a Cherrywood that does not go unnoticed, as much by the stummel height of almost 7cm, as by its finish ‘Lunar Virgin’, without the slightest treatment or stain. The extension is in green/black cumberland and the hand-cut ebonite stem is designed in ‘Army’ mounting. There is therefore no flock since it is the conical end of the stem which is plugged into the conical drill of the mortise. The shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (carved concave) is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of Corsican origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier and an additional 10 months on my reserve.
