François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ |
Do we always need words to describe what we like at the sight of a pipe? If so, then I will say for this model that I like a lot: character, originality but also elegance and lightness. The ring at the end of the stem is cut from an old piece of marbled green acrylic and the stem in a bar of German ebonite, green / black color. The set is very floral. The bowl is untinted, only protected by a light layer of shellac which emphasizes the relief of the sanding. A high-end model inspired with nuances of the work of the master Pierre Morel. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece, concave, is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Italian origin, benefited from at least a year and a half of drying by the supplier plus 15 months more on my own reserve.
