François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ |
Here is the Chimney shape, in Ring Grain sandblasted finish and dark mahogany staine, whose shank is adorned with a sterling silver ring and mounted with a handcut cumberland stem, of German quality cumberland (NYH). The 2x5cm chamber promises long smoking sessions. The sandblasting reveals here beautiful rings (ring grain) and interlocking forming these cobwebs pleasant to the eye. The floc is cut into the mass of the stem and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The mouthpiece, cut concave, is well opened in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Italian origin, has benefited from at least a year and a half of drying at the producer (but in my opinion much more) and an additional 18 months in my reserve.
