I’m delighted to propose you this Brandy in smooth finish, which reveals a beautiful straight-grain flamed briar. The chamber is rather generous and oscillates between a group 5 and 6. With no excessive embellishments to show off the briar, it is fitted with a stem cut from a bar of black ebonite (from the New York Hamburger factory in Germany). The flock is made of Teflon and the shank is drilled to 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave cut) is wide open in a V shape for optimum draw. The briar, of Italian origin, has benefited from a year’s drying at the supplier’s and a further five years in my storeroom.
