| François Dal – Tradition 2018 – (on stem) δ | |
Seeming to be cut in black quartz, this billiard has glossy reflections due to its rustic finish called ‘Lunar’. Her chamber, more than generous (4.9×2.15mm), promises long smoking sessions. The bowl is here surmounted by a protective metal cover for smoking sessions in bad weather, and the end of the shank is reinforced by a silver ring. The stem is hand cut in a German quality cumberland rod. The flock is teflon (nylon) and the shank drilled to 4.2mm. The concave lens of the pipe is open V-shaped for optimum draw. The briar has more than 30 years of drying in the dryers and granaries of Saint-Claude.
Produced in 2018, it is marked ‘Tradition 2018.’ It is also marked with a star-shaped punch surrounded by a half-moon for its ‘Lunar’ finish.
