| François Dal – Handmade 2017 – (on stem) δ | |
Here is a Belge shape with large bowl and long shank, decorated with a brass ring. The stem is cut in a bar of ‘briar’ cumberland, supplied by the SEM in Germany. The sandblasted finish reveals some concentric rings around the bowl. The bowl itself offers rather thick walls with however a comfortable group 4 chamber. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar, of Corsican origin, benefited at least from a year (I guess much more) and a half of drying and 8 more months in my own reserve.
