François Dal – C16 – (on stem) δ |
There are briars that sometimes offer very nice surprises. This is the case here with this Lovat mounted with a cumberland stem. The fine and tight grain indicates a very dense briar, reactive to sandblasting. In this case, it is useless to insist on deep sandblasting, the beauty of a soft sandblast allows indeed to admire all the fineness of the grain. The flock is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar has more than 25 years of drying in the drying rooms and granaries of Chacom in Saint-Claude.
Produced at the end of 2016, it is therefore stamped ‘C 16’ (‘C’ for the Custom series, now renamed Tradition).
