To counterbalance this long & shiny acrylic stem (in ivory white), it needed a briar that is out of the ordinary. Fortunately, the tight grain of this Pickaxe fulfills this role admirably. A silver ring makes the transition between the shine of the stem and the darker aspect of the bowl. The flock is teflon (nylon) and the shank drilled at 4mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (cut concave) is well open in V for an optimal draw. The briar has more than 25 years of drying in the drying roomss and granaries of Chacom in Saint-Claude.

Produced at the end of 2016, it is therefore stamped ‘C 16’ (‘C’ for the Custom series, now renamed Tradition).

	This pipe is new and has never been smoked.
	The stummel is in pristine condition, showing no apparent stroke or claw.
	The chamber is new, without cake.
	The acrylic stem is new and there is no tooth mark and no claws.
