François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ

I have great pleasure to offer you this model of Tomato. The shape is all round with a grip very pleasant. To mark the contrast between the ball and the shank,I chose to sand the latter by accentuating the separation far below the base, giving it a surplus of character. The briar reveals some pretty flames on the perimeter and birdseyes under the bottom and on the rimms. The shank is completed by a washer of cumberland. The stem is hand cut in an acrylic bar.  A second stem, shorter, will also be provided for those who wish to smoke in version ‘nosewarmer’, it is visible on the last photo.  The floc is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of italian origin, has benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier and 2 more years in my reserve.
