Making a pipe that accepts 9mm filters always raises the difficulty of inserting a large floc while maintaining an elegant and fine appearance without compromising the robustness of the shank. The challenge is doubled here with a bamboo mount and the importance of maintaining the bowl stability. The sanded finish reveals very nice & narrow ring grain. The floc is made of teflon and the shank (bamboo included) drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of Corsican origin, benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier.
