I have the pleasure to propose you this very beautiful flamed briar shaped Dublin, mounted with a long refined stem. The shape is inspired by the Dublin asbestos pipes that Georges Brassens liked to smoke, these black pipes with an olive ring and a very thin stem in ‘army’ assembly. In homage to the poet, I have nicknamed this model ‘Penelope’. The stummel is very nicely flamed, with an almost straight grain, a few gusts of wind having blown to make the flames dance. The chocolate dye, lightened, allows to raise these flames. The shank is reinforced with a vintage silver ring, and continues with a long German quality orange-gray cumberland stem. The flock is made of teflon and the shank is drilled at 4.2mm. The button is wide open in a V-shape for optimal draw. The briar, of Italian origin, has benefited from one year of drying at the supplier and three more years in my reserve.
