François Dal – Handmade 2018 – (on stem) δ

There are shapes that leave no one indifferent and I hope that is the effect that this model will cause. Inspired by a similar order that had been made by a friend more than 2 years ago, I wanted to reiterate the experience with a smooth finish and more sobriety in the colors. It is therefore a miscegenation between a Pear, a Dublin and a Canadian because of the long shank, here hexagonal (6-sided). The briar, mostly natural and waxed with carnauba, reveals very pretty flames. The upper part of the stummel, overhanging the liserai, is stained to remind the stem’s color. The stem is cut in a German ebonite (SEM), its color is cream gray.   The floc is teflon and the shank drilled at 4.2mm. The slot of the mouthpiece (concave) is well open in V for optimal draw. The briar, of italian origin, has benefited from a year and a half of drying at the supplier and 2 more years in my reserve.
